Job summary

Talent is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to be a key technical authority for a large, global ServiceNow environment. You’ll combine deep platform expertise with solution architecture, leadership and hands-on problem solving to shape how ServiceNow is designed, built and operated across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise ITSM or service operations.
• 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow experience.
• Experience in architecture, design, or tech leadership.
• Strong knowledge of integrations, APIs, authentication, resiliency, monitoring.
• Experience with large, distributed teams.
• Security, scalability, change management, governance awareness.
• CSA certification and other Architecture/Integration CIS credentials highly regarded.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and architecture expertise across the ServiceNow platform.
• Define platform architecture, technical standards, reusable patterns and engineering guardrails.
• Work directly with product and business teams to understand requirements and determine the best technical approach.
• Remain hands on, jumping into complex problems, whiteboarding solutions and supporting engineers when needed.
• Guide architecture across integrations, security, performance, CMDB, data models and platform design.
• Help shape the technical roadmap, including integrations, platform improvements and technical debt.
• Act as an escalation point for complex ServiceNow issues and support root cause analysis where required.
• Review higher risk technical designs and ensure solutions remain scalable, supportable and upgrade safe.
• Mentor engineers and help raise technical capability across a distributed global team.
• Provide technical leadership across complex initiatives from design through testing, release and operational handover.
