Ranges Alarms in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Security Technician for installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of CCTV, alarm and access control systems. You will work across commercial premises, factories, storage facilities, and residential projects, managing your own jobs with autonomy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience installing and servicing electronic security systems.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• Current Victorian Security Installer Registration/Licence.
• Open Cabling Registration.
• Construction Induction Card – White Card.
• Strong experience with CCTV, alarm and access control systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning CCTV, alarm and access control systems.
• Programming and configuring security systems.
• Fault finding, servicing and maintaining existing systems.
• Completing system upgrades and modifications.
• Training customers on how to use their security systems.
• Providing occasional technical support to customers.
• Managing your daily jobs, materials and workload.
• Liaising with customers, builders, electricians and other trades.
• Completing installations to a high professional standard.
• Attending sites to assess customer security requirements.
• Designing CCTV, alarm and access control solutions.
• Preparing scopes of work.
• Assisting with customer quotations.
• Providing technical advice to customers.
• Managing projects from enquiry to completion.
• Mentoring junior technicians and apprentices.
