Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a 6-month contract to enhance Azure cloud security and security operations. The role emphasizes DevSecOps automation, configuration-as-code, and strong Microsoft Defender/Sentinel and Entra experience.

Ideal candidates will bring hands-on security engineering expertise, fintech/regulatory context, and the ability to work independently within a small, multidisciplinary team in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on experience across security engineering, cloud security or security operations.
• Experience with fintech or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen cloud security controls in Azure environments.
• Support security operations and detection engineering across Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
• Contribute to DevSecOps automation and manage security configuration as code.
• Work with identity and access technologies, including Microsoft Entra.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide practical security guidance.
• Collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team.
