Job summary

Talent in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer (L3) to strengthen and scale security across cloud, network and infrastructure. You will balance BAU operations with uplift initiatives in a growing enterprise environment.

You’ll work with Azure security, Microsoft Defender, IDAM and a broad security stack, reporting to the Security Manager and collaborating with multiple engineering teams to deliver meaningful security improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on L3 Security Engineer with cloud/security experience.
• Strong Azure cloud security exposure.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and the broader Microsoft security stack.
• Solid understanding of network security and controls.
• Practical experience in vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Ability to work across cloud, network, data and infrastructure security.

Responsibilities

• Own and support day‑to‑day security engineering and operational activities.
• Deliver security uplift initiatives to strengthen the existing environment.
• Work across cloud security (Azure), infrastructure and network security controls.
• Drive vulnerability management: identify, assess, prioritise and support remediation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement improvements and support projects.
