Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects Australia is seeking a Newly created Team Lead - Secondary Design in NSW. The role focuses on technical leadership across secondary design projects such as substations, renewable energy infrastructure, and BESS, while mentoring engineers and graduates and shaping best practice within CPP's engineering team.

The role emphasizes leadership in technical outcomes and people development without moving away from engineering work, reporting to the Manager - Secondary Design.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in secondary design, protection, control, SCADA or related HV infrastructure disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor or develop technical professionals
• Strong experience delivering secondary design solutions across substations, transmission, distribution or renewable energy projects
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work from the NSW office regularly

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of secondary design projects including substations, renewable energy infrastructure, BESS and data centre developments
• Guide technical outcomes, support quality assurance, and mentor developing talent
• Help shape best practice across the broader engineering function and drive project delivery
