Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) is seeking an experienced primary design professional in NSW to lead a design team while staying closely connected to technical delivery. You will oversee designers and drafters, balancing hands-on design with people leadership on high‑voltage infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate workloads, mentor staff, and contribute to HV substations, BESS and data centre connections, ensuring quality and on‑time delivery in a dynamic energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Significant primary design experience for HV substations.
• Knowledge of substation layouts, clearances and interfaces.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation; document management and QA.
• Ability to mentor others and coordinate workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support NSW Engineering team's designers and design drafters.
• Provide technical direction and coordinate workloads across projects.
• Mentor team members to deliver high‑quality design outputs.
• Contribute to HV substations, BESS and data centre connections.
• Collaborate with construction and operations to ensure practical, buildable designs.
