Job summary

Jemena is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead the secondary assets team within our electricity network. You will coordinate asset replacement and maintenance programs, providing technical leadership for zone substation secondary assets and associated communications infrastructure.

The role focuses on developing project scopes for data centre projects, maintaining reliable network systems, and collaborating to drive grid transformation while meeting customer and community needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical supply industry with hands-on experience in secondary systems and communications assets.
• Proven track record in collaborative, commercially focused environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate asset replacement and maintenance programs with consideration of performance, cost and long-term impact.
• Provide technical leadership and develop standards for zone substation secondary assets including relays, battery banks, power quality meters and communications.
• Develop project scopes for data centre projects related to secondary asset technical requirements.
• Maintain systems that keep the network reliable, ensuring connections count.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop solutions supporting grid transformation and customer needs.
