Job summary

Jemena is actively seeking a Senior Secondary Assets Engineer to lead and coordinate asset replacement and maintenance programs for secondary systems across our electricity network.

You will provide technical leadership for protection and control relays, battery banks, meters, and related communications infrastructure, while developing project scopes for data centre projects within the secondary assets space.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical supply industry experience and hands-on work with secondary systems and communications assets.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communicator with experience drafting board papers, reports, and business cases.
• Skilled in project management and risk navigation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate asset replacement and maintenance programs balancing performance, cost and long-term impact.
• Provide technical leadership for zone substation secondary assets including protection and control relays and related infrastructure.
• Develop project scopes for data centre projects involving secondary assets requirements.
• Maintain systems that keep the network reliable and safe.
• Collaborate across teams to support grid transformation aligned with customer needs.
