Job summary

Broughton Anglican College in the Macarthur region is seeking an experienced Technology Teacher for the Senior School. This permanent full-time role commences in Term 1 2027 and requires a Christian commitment aligned with the College ethos.

The successful applicant will teach across Stages 4-6 of the NSW Technology Syllabuses, maintain high standards of pedagogy, and contribute to college life and pastoral care. Experience with Hospitality or Computing is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be a committed Christian, active in Evangelical Church.
• Accredited teacher with NSW Conditional Teacher accreditation (NESA).
• Knowledge of NSW WWCC is required.
• Ability to teach across Stages 4-6 of the NSW Technology Syllabuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and innovative Technology teaching for the Senior School.
• Manage curriculum requirements including programs, registers, assessment, feedback and reporting.
• Support student well-being through the College's pastoral framework and House Tutor groups.
• Contribute to College protocols and pastoral care of students.
• Support co-curricular activities of the College.

The College is seeking an experienced Technology Teacher for the Senior School.

This position is permanent full-time commencing in Term 1 2027.

Core Requirements:

Applicants for the position of Technology Teacher must demonstrate at a minimum that they:

• are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Bible-based Evangelical Church.
• support the College’s vision of holistic Christian education.
• conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the College ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the College community.
• have the ability to teach across Stages 4-6 of the NESA Technology Syllabuses to ensure that the College provides quality education to students.
• have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills.
• have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools.
• holds a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC).
• are an accredited teacher with at least Conditional Teacher accreditation from NESA.
• work effectively and collaboratively in a Faculty team.
• the ability to teach Hospitality or Computing would be highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities:

The Technology Teacher should:

• provide effective and innovative teaching practices for teaching Technology, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College, ensuring a high standard of outcomes for all students.
• manage curriculum requirements for their classes, including programs, registers, assessment, feedback, and reporting.
• manage student issues arising from their classes using the College’s positive behaviour framework and implementing relevant College protocols.
• implement College protocols and strategies.
• provide effective pastoral care to students through leading a regular House Tutor group.
• support co-curricular activities of the College.
