Job summary

Broughton Anglican College is a Pre Kinder to Year 12 Christian School in the Macarthur region that serves over 1,400 students. The College seeks an experienced Mathematics Teacher for the Senior School, permanent full-time commencing Term 1 2027.

The Mathematics Teacher will teach across Stages 4-6, uphold the Christian ethos, and work collaboratively within a Faculty team. WWCC clearance and NESA accreditation are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach across NSW Mathematics Syllabuses for Stages 4-6.
• Exceptional communication and relational teaching skills.
• Knowledge of school compliance requirements and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and innovative mathematics teaching reflecting the College ethos.
• Manage curriculum requirements including programs, registers, assessment and reporting.
• Address student issues through the College's positive behaviour framework and protocols.
• Implement College protocols and strategies.
• Provide pastoral care through leading a House Tutor group.
• Support co-curricular activities of the College.

The College is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher for the Senior School.

This position is permanent full-time commencing in Term 1 2027.

Core Requirements:

• are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Bible-based Evangelical Church.
• support the College’s vision of holistic Christian education.
• conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the College ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the College community.
• have the ability to teach across Stages 4-6 of the NESA Mathematics Syllabuses to ensure that the College provides quality education to students.
• have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills.
• have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools.
• holds a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC).
• are an accredited teacher with at least Conditional Teacher accreditation from NESA.
• work effectively and collaboratively in a Faculty team.
• the ability to teach all levels of Mathematics would be highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities:

The Mathematics Teacher should:

• provide effective and innovative teaching practices for teaching Mathematics, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College, ensuring a high standard of outcomes for all students.
• manage curriculum requirements for their classes, including programs, registers, assessment, feedback, and reporting.
• manage student issues arising from their classes using the College’s positive behaviour framework and implementing relevant College protocols.
• implement College protocols and strategies.
• provide effective pastoral care to students through leading a regular House Tutor group.
• support co-curricular activities of the College.
