PlasmaLeap Technologies is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead technical safety across manufacturing, workshop, lab and R&D environments in Australia. You will conduct hazard analyses, design reviews (HAZOP, FMEA, What-If) and develop engineering requirements for safe handling, containment and high-voltage systems.

You will embed safety in the project lifecycle and drive investigations into incidents to implement robust corrective actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent depth of training).
UK or Australian security clearance (essential).
Experience in safety engineering, process safety or risk management in industrial settings.

Responsabilités

Lead technical safety across manufacturing, workshop, laboratory, R&D and deployment environments.
Lead hazard and design reviews (HAZOP, FMEA, What-If).
Review process flows, P&IDs, equipment layouts and control philosophies to strengthen safety.
Develop requirements for chemical handling, containment, ventilation, high-voltage systems and machine guarding.
Embed safety into concept design, procurement, fabrication, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Establish and maintain risk management and pre-startup safety review processes.
Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses with root-cause analysis.
