Job summary

Sherpa Consulting Pty Ltd in Chatswood (Sydney) is seeking a Senior Engineer/Analyst in Risk & Safety to deliver independent, high-calibre process safety and risk management advisory services. You will lead technical risk assessments and contribute to client solutions.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, 6+ years in risk/process safety, and relevant accreditation (IChemE, TUV/CFSP). You will travel nationally and internationally and support governance across programs.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering or related sciences.
• Minimum 6 years experience in technical risk, process safety and/or assurance roles.
• Interest in pursuing IChemE process safety accreditation.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Execute and lead technical process safety and reliability risk assessments.
• Prepare and facilitate hazard identification and risk assessment workshops.
• Lead and conduct technical safety studies (QRA, FHA/PHA, SRS, SIL, Safety Case).
• Develop safety arguments and auditable evidence trails.
• Provide project management oversight and stakeholder engagement.
