Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join a Tier 1 civil contractor on a major Queensland road/highway project. You will work closely with site teams to drive safety culture, implement high standards, and manage night-shift activities for 4–6 months with potential to move to days.

The role offers up to AU$190k package, an immediate start, and a long-term project with direct support from a Senior Safety Manager.

Qualifications

• Civil construction HSE experience on major road/highway projects.
• Exposure to bridge construction, structural works and bulk earthworks.
• Senior Safety Advisor experience with ability to challenge behaviours and hold teams accountable.
• Strong stakeholder management and practical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety culture on a major civil project and support site teams.
• Lead risk assessments and manage night-shift safety operations.
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager and stakeholders to uphold standards.
