Job summary

NTP Talent in Newcastle is seeking a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to own and evolve marketplace features, collaborate with product managers and designers, and ship customer-facing improvements at pace.

You will work in a hybrid setup with four days per week in the Newcastle office, contributing to a large, global marketplace while mentoring others and shaping engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead role is ideal.
• Full-stack capability with strong JavaScript experience is highly regarded.
• Experience working on B2C products or marketplaces is advantageous.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, collaborative engineering environment.
• Exposure to AWS is beneficial but not essential.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, consumer-focused technology business where your work directly impacts how people travel and explore. This is a role where you’ll have real ownership, strong influence on product decisions, and the chance to work on a large-scale marketplace used by customers globally.
