Job summary

Studiosity in Sydney is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer to join the Product team. You will drive development of our generative AI powered education technology, building features into a Rails/React stack and ensuring robust, testable code.

You should have 5+ years of professional software development and at least 1+ year with Rails, strong collaboration, and a drive to learn and grow within a mission-driven Ed-Tech company.

What you will do

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be an experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer in our Product team and drive the development and ongoing alignment of market leading, generative AI powered education technology solutions, in pursuit of our mission of increasing life chances for students, everywhere.

Build new features into our Support & Validate platform via our software stack consisting of Ruby on Rails, React, ES6, along with EventMachine, NodeJS and web sockets.

Join a team excited about AI-tooling and accelerating our software development cycle.

About you

To succeed in this position you will be an experienced full stack engineer with expertise in Rails, React and/or other JS frameworks. We are specifically looking for candidates who can demonstrate good team work skills, have good communication skills, and are passionate about learning and growth.

You will possess 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 1+ years experience with Ruby on Rails development.

Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications are highly desirable, you will be driven by the opportunity to create transformational products in the education sector.

You are looking to continue to develop and hone your skills, but also share your experience and leadership with others. You understand the core concepts around secure coding and factor that as a part of your work. You are eager to develop the right solution with automated tests to ensure it is also a reliable solution.
