Job summary

WSP’s Western Australia Rail team is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer or Senior Rolling Stock Engineer to support the delivery of complex passenger and freight rolling stock projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full asset lifecycle, providing technical leadership and trusted advice on rail programs.

You will lead rolling stock engineering activities, coordinate interfaces, and work with clients and manufacturers to deliver safe, reliable solutions in line with Australian

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
3–10+ years of rolling stock or rail systems experience.
Knowledge of rolling stock subsystems and Australian rail standards.

Responsibilities

Lead rolling stock activities across the asset lifecycle including design, manufacture, testing and maintenance.
Provide technical assurance for engineering designs and system integration.
Collaborate with clients, operators and manufacturers to deliver project outcomes.
Manage engineering work packages, scope, programme, risk and budget.
Coordinate interfaces for safe, reliable rolling stock solutions.
Contribute to asset management, maintenance strategies and lifecycle planning.
