Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) in Adelaide seeks a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer to support safe, efficient and interoperable rail operations across the ARTC network. You will engage across Engineering Services to assess new and modified rolling stock and contribute to national harmonisation initiatives.

The role requires a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, registration progress, and at least six years in rail rolling stock or related interfaces.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
• Registered Engineer or working towards registration.
• Minimum six years' experience in rail rolling stock, infrastructure or operational interfaces.
• Experience in development and management of standards, technical documentation and engineering processes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment, approval and introduction of rolling stock and track maintenance vehicles onto the ARTC network.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of rolling stock interface standards and technical documentation.
• Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams on rolling stock interface and requirements.
• Support collaboration with rail industry bodies and standards development activities.
• Assist with engineering assessments and interoperability initiatives for safe operations.
• Evaluate and approve ICPs for Rail Maintenance Vehicles on the ARTC network.
