Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Roadway Design Manager to lead design activities on large-scale civil infrastructure projects in the US. You will collaborate with multiple disciplines and external consultants to deliver high-quality design packages for tender and construction phases.

You will learn Ferrovial's roadway design standards under senior leadership, contributing to value engineering, design reviews, and cross-team coordination on fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited US college or university.
• Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in roadway design.
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design on complex highway D&B and PPP projects, during tender and detail design stages.
• Coordinate design works with design consultants and supervise reviews of consultants’ designs.
• Coordinate roadway design with Geotech, drainage, pavement, utilities, structures, MEP and environmental teams.
• Manage internal design team to self‑perform design activities and ensure quality control.
• Prepare in-house preliminary designs for cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
• Coordinate with Owners (DOTs and Developers) and other stakeholders.
• Supervise preparation of design packages and reports to meet schedule and budget; develop design specifications.
• Provide technical support to project teams across the US.
