Job summary

Protecht Group is seeking a Senior Reporting Business Analyst to lead analytics engagements, translating customer requirements into clear specifications for Analytics consultants and developers.

You will own complex projects, coach other analysts, support escalations and ensure QA through testing and data validation, while collaborating in a remote-friendly, agile environment. You’ll work with Protecht.ERM and BI tools, interfacing with stakeholders across APAC, the USA and Europe.

The Senior Reporting Business Analyst ensures the successful delivery of high quality analytics and reporting solutions by accurately understanding, documenting and validating customer requirements. Beyond standard Business Analyst responsibilities, you'll take ownership of larger, complex and high priority customer engagements, support escalations, guide other Business Analysts, and help shape Protecht's Analytics processes and delivery standards.

As a senior point of contact for customers, Protecht Advisors and internal stakeholders, you'll lead requirements gathering for complex engagements, identify delivery risks early, and provide coaching and peer review to support the wider Business Analyst team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis for larger, complex and high priority customer engagements.
• Translate customer needs into clear, concise and actionable specifications for Analytics consultants and developers.
• Act as a senior point of contact for customers, Protecht Advisors and internal stakeholders throughout Analytics engagements.
• Assist with customer escalations, requirement disputes and complex delivery issues.
• Identify delivery risks, scope issues, dependencies and unclear requirements early, and proactively manage them.
• Define test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria, and oversee functional testing and data validation.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect triage and resolution.
• Provide peer review, coaching and support to other Business Analysts, including onboarding and development.

About You

• Strong experience gathering and analysing requirements for BI, analytics or data visualisation solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex customer engagements and senior stakeholders.
• Experience handling challenging customer situations or escalations.
• Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases and data structures.
• Strong understanding of testing, data validation and quality assurance.
• Ability to coach, guide and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
• Australian citizen or demonstrated right to live and work permanently in Australia.
• Consulting or professional services experience.
• SaaS experience.
• Hands on experience with Protecht.ERM or similar GRC platforms.
• Experience with BI and data visualisation tools.
• Experience using AI or automation to improve business analysis, testing or delivery processes.
