Job summary

Endeavour Engineering seeks a Senior Remedial Engineer to lead projects from inspection to remedial design across Sydney, Illawarra, Central Coast and regional NSW. Based in Western Sydney, you will guide investigations, deliver technical reports, and direct remedial solutions with independent professional judgement.

You will mentor junior engineers, review drawings, and liaise with clients, applying extensive knowledge of waterproofing, building defects, and durability to achieve practical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; relevant field experience.
• Extensive experience in remedial/structural/forensic engineering with independent project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, structural behaviour, waterproofing and remedial construction methods.
• Working knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
• Excellent technical writing to produce clear, evidence-based reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience preparing reports for building defect disputes or litigation preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain client relationships, and provide technical leadership in a small team.
• Chartered status or professional registrations viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

• Lead building inspections and defect investigations across diverse properties.
• Prepare and review technical reports with findings and remedial recommendations.
• Lead remedial design development, focusing on waterproofing and durability.
• Coordinate with in-house drafting to develop drawings and documentation.
• Manage project delivery, scope, programme, budgets, and site access.
• Build and maintain client relationships with clear progress communications.
• Provide technical review and QA across reports and drawings.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
