Job summary

Total Building Engineering Solutions is seeking a Senior Remedial Engineer to lead projects from investigation through design and construction, working with directors, engineers, clients and contractors.

Requirements include a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, current NSW Design Practitioner registration (or eligible) and proven remedial project delivery with knowledge of Australian Standards and the NCC; CPEng/NER valued. Two remote work days per week are available.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and strong remedial engineering experience.
• Current NSW Design Practitioner registration in the relevant discipline, or eligibility and readiness to obtain registration.
• Experience delivering remedial projects from investigation through to construction.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, the NCC and NSW regulatory requirements.
• Clear communication, good engineering judgment and a practical approach to solving problems.
• A collaborative attitude and a sense of humour.
• CPEng and NER registration will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Investigating structural, façade, waterproofing and durability defects.
• Designing practical rectification solutions.
• Preparing technical reports, specifications and drawings.
• Undertaking site inspections and resolving construction queries.
• Contributing to forensic investigations, tender assessments and litigation support.
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing your technical knowledge.
