Job summary

JN | Consulting Engineers, based in NSW, is seeking an experienced Remedial Project Engineer to lead site investigations, defect diagnosis, and reporting for residential, commercial, and Government projects from the Sutherland office. You will prepare scopes, review design drawings and tender docs, manage on-site works, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

A civil/structural engineering degree and 7+ years in remedial or related construction are required; familiarity with strata/residential

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
7+ years post-graduate remedial engineering or related construction experience, including waterproofing and concrete repair.
Experience preparing remedial building reports, technical specs, and tender docs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with strata/residential projects and construction environments.
Desirable: Registered Design Practitioner or eligible.

Responsibilities

Perform site investigations and diagnose building defects.
Prepare technical site reports, building condition reports and defect reports.
Prepare scopes of work, review drawings, and tender/contract docs.
Manage on-site projects and inspect construction works.
Deliver high-quality designs and specifications per Australian Standards and NCC.
Liaise with clients and contractors to foster relationships and growth.
Prepare fee proposals and meeting minutes.
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate stakeholders.
