Job summary

Sport Integrity Australia is seeking a Senior Rehabilitation Case Manager at APS Level 6 to bolster our People and Capability team in the ACT. You will lead complex rehabilitation, return to work, conduct, performance and employee relations matters while ensuring legislative and policy compliance.

You will develop rehabilitation plans, coordinate case management with providers and managers, build policies, provide advice to leaders, and contribute to training and guidance that uplift capability

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing complex rehabilitation, return to work and employee case management matters.
• Sound knowledge of rehabilitation, workplace relations, employment and work health and safety frameworks.
• Strong judgement and ability to provide practical, risk-based advice on sensitive and complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex rehabilitation, return to work, conduct, performance, attendance and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
• Provide expert, risk-based advice to managers and employees on rehabilitation, workplace adjustments, fitness for duty, performance, conduct, workplace conflict and other complex people matters.
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation and return to work plans, workplace adjustment arrangements and other interventions that support employee wellbeing and organisational outcomes.
• Coordinate complex case management activities, liaising with employees, managers, Comcare, rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners and other stakeholders as required.
• Identify, assess and manage risks associated with workplace health, wellbeing and employee case matters, including psychosocial and WHS risks.
• Develop, review and maintain rehabilitation, workplace relations and People and Capability policies, procedures, guidance materials and frameworks.
• Conduct research, analysis and reporting to support policy development, business improvement initiatives, executive briefings and decision-making.
• Build organisational capability through coaching, training and guidance on rehabilitation, case management, workplace relations and people management practices.
• Lead or contribute to People and Capability projects, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, risk management and delivery of outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and contemporaneous records, correspondence and case documentation in accordance with legislative and agency requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with managers, employees, legal teams, unions, APS agencies and the APSC where relevant.
• Provide clear, confident and tailored communication to support understanding of complex issues
