Job summary

Sport Integrity Australia is seeking a Senior Rehabilitation Case Manager – APS Level 6 – to lead complex rehabilitation, return-to-work and employee relations matters within the People and Capability team. You will provide risk-based advice to managers and staff and guide case management across the agency.

This non-ongoing role requires strong stakeholder engagement, sound judgement and the ability to develop and monitor rehabilitation plans, workplace adjustments and policy guidance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing complex rehabilitation, return to work and employee case management matters.
• Sound knowledge of rehabilitation, workplace relations, employment and work health and safety frameworks.
• Strong judgement to provide practical, risk-based advice on sensitive and complex matters.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, research and policy development capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex rehabilitation, return to work, conduct, performance, attendance and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
• Provide expert, risk-based advice to managers and employees on rehabilitation, workplace adjustments, fitness for duty, performance, conduct, workplace conflict and other complex people matters.
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation and return to work plans, workplace adjustment arrangements and other interventions that support employee wellbeing and organisational outcomes.
• Coordinate complex case management activities, liaising with employees, managers, Comcare, rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners and other stakeholders as required.
• Identify, assess and manage risks associated with workplace health, wellbeing and employee case matters, including psychosocial and WHS risks.
• Develop, review and maintain rehabilitation, workplace relations and People and Capability policies, procedures, guidance materials and frameworks.
• Conduct research, analysis and reporting to support policy development, business improvement initiatives, executive briefings and decision-making.
• Build organisational capability through coaching, training and guidance on rehabilitation, case management, workplace relations and people management practices.
• Lead or contribute to People and Capability projects, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, risk management and delivery of outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential and contemporaneous records, correspondence and case documentation in accordance with legislative and agency requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with managers, employees, legal teams, unions, APS agencies and the APSC where relevant.
• Provide clear, confident and tailored communication to support understanding of complex issues
