Job summary

Q Design & Construct Pty Ltd (QDC) is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Advisor to lead our HR recruitment efforts across Perth, regional WA and interstate projects. You will partner with executives and managers to understand workforce needs, deliver strategic recruitment solutions and drive end-to-end processes from vacancy approval to onboarding.

You will develop targeted sourcing strategies, manage agency relationships, enhance employer branding and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in construction/engineering/infrastructure
• Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
• Strong understanding of construction and project-based recruitment
• Experience recruiting both site-based and corporate positions
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence hiring managers
• Strong candidate assessment and interviewing capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities
• Diploma or Degree in HR or related discipline desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across construction and corporate roles.
• Develop targeted recruitment strategies for specialist positions.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across WA markets.
• Recruit professionals across Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Estimators, QS, HSE, and more.
• Partner with hiring managers; provide market intelligence on candidate availability and remuneration.
• Ensure recruitment briefs are realistic and aligned with requirements.
• Develop sourcing, networking, referrals, and talent-pooling strategies to reduce agency use.
• Manage recruitment agency relationships, performance, and commercial terms.
• Create compelling job adverts and recruitment campaigns.
• Support employer branding and employee value proposition.
• Own the recruitment process within Employment Hero, optimize usage and reporting.
• Monitor recruitment data and trends to identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and internal processes.
• Contribute to workforce planning and HR initiatives.

QDC is a growing construction business delivering design-and-construct projects across Perth, regional Western Australia and interstate. Our projects span bulk storage facilities, warehousing, commercial buildings, onshore marine and civil works.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Advisor to join our HR team and take a leading role in building the talent that will support QDC's continued growth.

This is more than a recruitment administration role. You will be a trusted recruitment partner to our leaders, providing strategic advice, developing targeted talent attraction strategies and managing recruitment from approved vacancy through to appointment and onboarding.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will lead QDC's end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities across our construction projects and corporate functions.

You will work closely with Executive Management, Senior Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers and functional leaders to understand workforce requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across construction and corporate roles.
• Develop targeted recruitment strategies for specialist, hard-to-fill and project-critical positions.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across Perth, regional WA and interstate markets.
• Recruit a diverse range of construction professionals including Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Contract Administrators, Commercial professionals, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors and HSE professionals.
• Partner with hiring managers and provide market intelligence on candidate availability, remuneration expectations and recruitment timeframes.
• Challenge recruitment briefs where appropriate to ensure requirements and expectations are realistic.
• Develop direct sourcing, networking, referral and talent-pooling strategies to reduce reliance on recruitment agencies.
• Manage QDC's recruitment agency relationships, including performance, fees and commercial arrangements.
• Develop compelling job advertisements and targeted recruitment campaigns.
• Support QDC's employer brand and employee value proposition.
• Own recruitment processes within Employment Hero, ensuring the platform is effectively utilised and continuously improved.
• Monitor recruitment data, reporting and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure recruitment activities comply with legislation, policies and QDC processes.
• Contribute to workforce planning, project mobilisation and broader HR initiatives.

About you

You will be an experienced recruitment professional who understands the pace and complexity of construction and project-based environments.

You will bring:

• 5+ years' recruitment experience, preferably with significant internal recruitment experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
• Strong understanding of construction and project-based recruitment.
• Experience recruiting both site-based and corporate positions.
• Strong direct sourcing, networking and talent-pipeline development skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence and challenge hiring managers.
• Strong candidate assessment and interviewing capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
• Experience using an HRIS, ATS or recruitment management system.
• A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is desirable.
