Job description

The Company:

Our client is a well-established WA-owned and operated resources services business with a 30-year track record of delivering quality, reliable solutions across Western Australia.

With nearly 200 employees across WA, the business is a leading provider of crushing, screening, ore sorting and civil services, with a strong presence across the Goldfields and extensive experience supporting major mining operations.

Built from strong entrepreneurial roots and a deep understanding of the resources sector, the business has developed a reputation for reliability, quality and tailored solutions, working across diverse and technically challenging environments.

With a clear focus on long-term client relationships, innovation and the development of its people, the business continues to grow while maintaining its strong WA roots.

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on Senior HR Advisor position providing practical HR support across the business.

Reporting to the HSET Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, Superintendents, Supervisors and employees across the business.

This is not an HR Manager role and does not have direct reports. Instead, you will be someone who is comfortable getting into the detail and personally managing the day-to-day HR function across employee relations, recruitment, payroll support, workforce administration and compliance.

You will be a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical advice and helping ensure HR processes are handled consistently, fairly and in line with legislation and company requirements.

The role is based at the corporate office, with occasional travel to operational sites required depending on business and operational needs.

What's On Offer:
  • Join a growing WA-owned resources business with 100 employees.
  • A genuinely broad and hands-on HR role with exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Work closely with senior operational leaders across the business.
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on HR processes, recruitment and workforce support.
  • A role with variety across HR advisory, recruitment, ER, payroll support, mobilisation and compliance.
  • Be part of a business with strong WA roots and a focus on long-term growth.
About You:

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, commercially minded and close to the operational side of the business.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a senior HR generalist, HR advisory or standalone HR role within mining, resources, construction, contracting, industrial services or remote workforce environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
  • Strong generalist HR experience across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, investigations and HR administration.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
  • Hands-on payroll processing or payroll administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, awards, industrial instruments and employment conditions.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and personally deliver day-to-day HR requirements.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of discretion and confidentiality.

If you're an experienced Senior HR Advisor or Senior HR Generalist who enjoys being hands-on and wants a role where you can genuinely influence the day-to-day HR function, we'd love to hear from you.
