Job summary

Egis, a global leader in infrastructure and mobility services, invites a Principal Rail Systems Engineer to join our Brisbane Rail Business Unit. You will serve as the authoritative specialist for signalling, train control, telecommunications and systems integration, leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant rail solutions.

You will shape architecture, drive risk management, and ensure engineering excellence across the asset lifecycle, while pursuing new business opportunities

Qualifications

12 years’ + experience in a specialist rail systems role.
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics or related discipline.
Ability to obtain CPENG and RPEQ if not registered.
Strong understanding of rail operations, signalling and system integration.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on signalling, train control, telecommunications, SCADA and systems integration.
Lead requirements development, architecture, interface definition and validation.
Oversee safety assurance per EN50126/8/9, CENELEC and rail safety law.
Chair technical reviews and ensure compliance with standards and frameworks.
Identify, assess and mitigate technical and operational risks across the lifecycle.
