Job summary

Alstom in Perth is seeking an experienced Project System Architect to contribute to transforming the Perth rail network. Based in Perth, you will lead system design for complex signaling projects, supporting baselines and ensuring QCD on system deliveries with close collaboration with System Application Architect, platforms teams, and customers.

You will define the project design choices, write system specifications, and oversee verification, validation, and design reviews, while guiding

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in U400, and Signalling System Design applied to complex electronic systems.
• Degree qualified - Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with brownfield rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Define Project System Design with the support of SAA and Platforms teams and ensure it fulfils customer needs while optimizing costs.
• Write the Project System specifications and documents considering architectural, functional, operational, performance, safety, quality and cost constraints.
• Coordinate verification and validation activities, support integration, tests and validation phases.
• Organize Kick-Off Meetings for Baseline scope and Baseline Freeze validation.
• Be the front office of the Project for troubleshooting and root cause identification throughout all phases.
• Organize Design Reviews with Platform Technical Director and provide key elements to demonstrate Design Freeze.
