Job summary

Hitachi Rail Australia is seeking a Senior Signalling System Engineer to join our Perth team. You will oversee system and interface design, verification planning, and documentation across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 3–5 years in transportation system engineering, a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to deliver safe, reliable railway signalling solutions in a global technology leader.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or IT.
3–5 years in Transportation System Engineering.

Responsibilities

Identify, manage and fulfil System and Functional Requirements across design and testing.
Manage project interfaces among subsystems and external interfaces.
Deliver system engineering documents on time, within budget and ensure V&V activities.
Propose improvements to design standards and methods.
Support implementation of technical solutions with customers.
Perform system engineering studies (fleet sizing, operational scenarios).
Ensure timely system integration tests.
