Job summary

Maxim Recruitment has been engaged to appoint a Planning Manager for a major rail project in Sydney. Based at head office, you will lead planning, scheduling and resources, and manage a small team of planning engineers.

You will advise on buildability, procurement and tender programming, maintain the WBS and critical path, and produce timely reports for senior management. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in tender and project planning within rail/E&M, strong analytical skills and excellent

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years tender, project and claims planning experience.
• Demonstrable experience in rail systems and E&M systems integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of safety and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Advising the General Manager PMO and Project Director on planning, scheduling and resources.
• Lead a small team of planning engineers to develop baseline and master programme.
• Maintain WBS, project and activity coding and resource loading; monitor milestones and delays.
• Agree and maintain Critical Path networks and implement logic changes.
• Prepare timely reports and schedule plans for project management and control.
• Provide leadership, support and training to junior staff.
• Liaise with client, consultants and contractors to review progress.
