Job summary

SMEC is hiring a Senior Project Controller to join the rail team in North Sydney. You will deliver high-quality project controls on rail transport projects, covering scope, cost and time management, contract management and administration.

Key duties include planning, reporting, risk management, and managing deliverables while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project controls experience on transport infrastructure projects.
• 2+ years hands on experience in developing and implementing Power BI reporting solutions.
• Experience with Power BI report development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong client management and consulting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planning, reporting, project controls, scheduling and resource planning meet technical standards and client/SMEC requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and project metrics.
• Apply risk management and contingency planning.
• Manage project deliverables and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to coordinate deliverables.
• Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the team.
