Job summary

Altrad Services APAC in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support delivery of a major SMP construction project at Alkimos. The role requires close collaboration with the Project Manager, Cost Control and wider project team to translate progress into accurate commercial outcomes.

You will contribute to cost estimation, budgeting, variations, and commercial reporting, while maintaining governance and risk management on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 5+ years in Quantity Surveying or similar role.
• Experience on major construction/infrastructure projects.
• Strong cost estimation, quantity measurement and reporting.
• Experience handling variations, progress claims and subcontractor matters.
• Good understanding of Australian contracts (AS4000/AS2124).
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with cost management/estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantities and Bills of Quantities.
• Monitor budgets, commitments and expenditures against targets.
• Manage quantities and assess changes to scope and cost.
• Review subcontractor claims, variations and progress payments.
• Support commercial variations negotiation and monthly payments.
• Verify progress to reflect work completed and forecast outcomes.
• Collaborate with Site Engineers, Construction Managers and Planners.
• Provide cost and progress information for forecasting and reports.
• Contribute to cost analysis and value engineering to improve outcomes.
