Job summary

Altrad Services APAC is seeking a Senior SMP Project Engineer in Perth's northern metropolitan area to lead on-site execution of a major SMP project, including piping scopes, safety, and collaboration with client and subcontractors.

This senior role embeds in the project leadership team, driving planning, risk management, cost control, and field-based leadership to ensure on‑time, safe delivery at Alkimos Desalination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with site-based experience.
• Significant SMP construction experience focusing on piping scopes.
• Ability to lead and mentor an engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of SIMOPS, planning, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site SMP Project Engineers to deliver aligned outcomes.
• Develop practical execution strategies with the construction manager and superintendent.
• Interface between client, workshop, and site for clear delivery.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors on the ground with oversight.
• Drive planning, scheduling, and progress tracking from a field perspective.
