Job summary

Altrad Services Pty Ltd in Perth, WA, seeks a Senior SMP Project Engineer with strong on-site construction experience to support delivery of a major SMP project at Alkimos Desalination plant. You will lead a team of SMP Project Engineers, coordinate with construction management, and ensure safe, timely, and commercially sound outcomes while maintaining tight client, workshop and site interfaces.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with substantial site-based experience.
Significant SMP project experience with focus on piping.
Proven ability to lead and mentor an engineering team.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and SIMOPS.

Responsibilities

Coordinate a team of SMP Project Engineers on-site to drive aligned project outcomes.
Develop and implement practical execution strategies across SMP scopes.
Act as on-site interface between client, workshop and site teams.
Manage subcontractors and vendors on the ground with scope and performance oversight.
Drive planning, scheduling, and progress tracking from a construction-execution perspective.
Navigate SIMOPS with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Support commercial outcomes through on-site problem solving and risk management.
Champion a strong HSEQ culture across project delivery.
