Job summary

Nuix in Sydney is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead exploratory testing across the product portfolio, owning the testing strategy and contributing to the QE roadmap and release readiness.

You will design a structured exploratory testing framework with Session-Based Test Management, mentor juniors, and collaborate with product and engineering to enhance quality across both SaaS and on-prem solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Quality Engineering, SDET, or Software Testing roles.
• Deep expertise in structured exploratory testing (SBTM, heuristics, risk-based design).
• Microservices testing experience.
• Good understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Experience testing both SaaS and on-prem products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for risk/quality discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a structured exploratory testing framework across Nuix products using SBTM, risk-based heuristics, and charters.
• Coordinate risk-prioritized cross-product coverage and influence QE roadmaps and release decisions.
• Mentor junior QE members and offshore SDETs, uplifting testing practices across the QE org.
• Collaborate with QE Managers, Dev leads, and Product to translate findings into quality improvements.
