Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Brisbane is seeking a Senior QC Technician – QC Physiochemistry & Raw Material to join the QC Physiochemistry & Raw Material team at 37 Kent Street, Woolloongabba. This full-time onsite role supports pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, performing sampling, analytical testing and data review to ensure materials meet quality standards.

You will work 38 hours per week, contribute to risk assessments, CAPA and Change Control, and help drive practical process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing QC is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cGMP practices.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques.
• Background in analytical theory and laboratory analysis.
• Strong documentation and data-recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling of raw materials in a controlled environment.
• Execute analytical testing (pH, conductivity and Osmometry).
• Assess analytical results against predefined specifications.
• Conduct peer reviews of test records for accuracy.
• Assist the QC Physiochemistry Team Leader with test records approvals.
• Identify and report non-conformances and OOS/UR results.
• Support Quality System activities (Change Control, Deviations, CAPA).
• Apply risk tools such as FMEA and fishbone diagrams.
• Contribute to site Practical Process Improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as directed by Leadership.
