Job summary

JLE Group in NSW seeks a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for electrical manufacturing, construction and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and field activities to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with contract requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 7-12 years of experience in the trade, strong CPM/ Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical manufacturing and project scheduling across construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage CPM schedules, track progress, and align with contractual delivery dates.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of cost tracking, project controls, and earned value concepts.
• Experience in electrical, infrastructure, or industrial projects is highly regarded.
• Strong financial discipline and accountability in project environments.
• Ability to conduct meetings and take minutes.
• Well-developed planning, organizing and evaluation skills.
• Understanding Standards and Codes of Practice relevant to projects.
• OH&S training or awareness.
• 7-12 years’ experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Define critical path, milestones, and sequencing.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction activities.
• Align schedules with contract requirements and delivery dates.
• Track actual vs planned progress across all disciplines.
• Update schedules regularly (weekly minimum).
• Identify delays, float erosion, and risks to completion.
• Produce weekly and monthly project reports.
• Coordinate labour, plant, and subcontractor scheduling.
• Forecast resource requirements and constraints.
• Support workforce planning with project teams.
• Identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
• Analyse impacts of variations, delays, and disruptions.
• Align schedule with cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Assist in earned value tracking (planned vs actual progress).
• Support commercial reporting and margin protection.
• Facilitate planning meetings and schedule reviews.
• Maintain document control of all project programs.
• Ensure all schedules follow company standards and naming conventions.
• Maintain audit-ready records for QA/compliance.
