Job summary

Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in NSW seeks a Senior Project Officer to lead diverse technology projects that improve services for communities. The role is temporary (up to 14 Dec 2028) and full-time, with an office base in Parramatta and flexible working options.

You will drive planning, governance and delivery across a portfolio of business technology initiatives, building partnerships and delivering high-quality outcomes that align with public sector values.

About the role

Technology plays a critical role in how we deliver services to people across NSW.

As a Senior Project Officer within the Digital Information Office, you'll help turn ideas into outcomes by leading projects that improve the systems, platforms and services our people rely on every day.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of business technology initiatives, bringing together stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams to solve problems, manage competing priorities and keep projects moving forward. From planning and governance through to delivery and evaluation, your work will help ensure technology investments deliver real value for our people, customers and communities.

About you

• Experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, risks and dependencies
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and practical way

Essential

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects in a technology, digital, transformation or related environment.
• Experience managing project governance, risks, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience preparing project documentation, business cases or executive reporting.
