Job summary

Nexus Project Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ACT Commercial & Strata repairs. Based from ACT, the role focuses on delivering complex projects, mentoring a team, and driving performance with a balance of strategy and on‑the‑ground delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10+ years in construction, senior leadership or PM roles, strong financial acumen, and proficiency with MS Project/Smartsheet and Excel. Insurance industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

7–10+ years’ experience in construction, including senior leadership or project management roles.
Proven expertise in commercial and/or strata projects – insurance industry exposure highly regarded.
Strong financial acumen with P&L and budgeting experience.
Confident leader and communicator who can engage internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet, Excel, and project tracking systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee and deliver complex, higher-value commercial and strata repairs
Mentor and develop a team of estimators and supervisors
Set the bar for quality, safety and client satisfaction
Drive the division’s commercial performance – from margin control to pricing strategy
Represent Nexus with professionalism and build trusted client relationships
Champion scheduling, workflow and process excellence
