Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

This is a serious Residential ConstructionProject Manager opportunity with an established Sydney developer-builder delivering one of the city’s major high-rise residential projects, valued at more than $500M.

The business has a strong pipeline of residential development ahead, but they operate differently to many builders of this size. The project teams are lean, experienced and accountable, so they need a PM who is genuinely hands-on, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership.

The Role

As Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the overall delivery of the project, working closely with the site, commercial, design and construction teams. You’ll be involved across programme, procurement, design coordination, commercial outcomes, subcontractor performance, consultants, stakeholders and overall project delivery. Most importantly, you’ll need to know what is happening across your project and be comfortable getting into the detail when required.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need genuine experience delivering large-scale high-rise residential construction in Sydney and will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Project Management experience with a Tier 2 or strong Tier 3 builder
• Major high-rise residential apartment experience ( at least 30 floors & 2 basement)
• Experience delivering complex projects of significant value
• Strong understanding of structure, façade, services and finishes
• Excellent programme and commercial awareness
• Experience leading Site Managers, CAs, Foremen, Engineers and project teams
• Strong consultant and stakeholder management skills
• A practical, hands‑on approach to construction
• The confidence to operate successfully within a lean project structure

This role will suit a PM who enjoys being close to the project, wants real responsibility and doesn’t need a huge corporate structure around them to get things done.
