Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex cyber security and infrastructure programs in a large government environment. You will own planning, governance, budgets and risks, coordinating technical teams, stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful delivery.

You will drive project governance, financial management and reporting, translating technical details for executives and aligning with security and architectural standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive ICT project management experience in large organisations.
• Delivery experience across cyber security and infrastructure projects.
• Proven responsibility for project budgets exceeding AUD 1 million.
• Strong understanding of the complete project delivery lifecycle.
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
• Strong vendor, commercial and contract management capability.
• Excellent governance, financial management and reporting skills.
• Ability to translate technical information for business audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and PM accreditation (PRINCE2 preferred).
• Agile or Lean qualifications or experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology projects from initiation through to implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, RAID registers and governance documentation.
• Manage project budgets, including resource, capital and operational expenditure.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies and changes.
• Manage technology vendors against contracts, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal resources and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making across technical and business groups.
• Ensure alignment with architecture, security, development and governance standards.

Job description

This large government body is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex cyber security and infrastructure projects.

You will take ownership of project planning, governance, budgets, risks, dependencies and delivery schedules, working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors. Projects may be delivered independently or as part of a broader transformation program.
