Job summary

Adelaide Airport is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver capital works across Adelaide and Parafield Airports. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage design, procurement, and contractors, and ensure programs, budgets and quality meet approvals.

You will mentor staff, support PMO development and embedding a strong safety and customer-service culture in delivery. Essential qualifications include a degree or diploma in project management and a valid driver’s license; desirable

• Diploma or degree in project management or related discipline; demonstrated experience considered.
• Valid drivers licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Manage delivery of capital works projects across Adelaide and Parafield Airports.

• Manage the delivery of projects to ensure approved capital works projects achieve quality, program and budget outcomes
• Support the team with guidance on best practice and knowledge share;
• Ensure all building works comply with Airports Act and AAL requirements;
• Understand, work within and contribute to all Company policies and procedures;
• Support the H/O Project Delivery and Directors in developing procurement strategies and portfolio/program management
• Assist in the development of a PMO
• Leading and supporting direct reports through clear direction and ongoing performance development, including conducting regular 1:1's, annual performance reviews, leave management, and broader employee lifecycle activities aligned to project and team needs
• Other duties and projects as required;
• Embed Customer Service in attitudes and actions;
• Contribute to a safe, healthy and discrimination free workplace;
• Comply with the WHS Responsibility Guidelines;
• Comply with the Environmental Responsibility Procedure;

Qualifications

Essential:

• Diploma or Degree in Project Management discipline (demonstrated experience or other qualifications in similar disciplines will be considered)
• Drivers Licence

Desirable:

• Engineering, Architectural or related disciplines
• MS Project

Experience

Essential:

• Significant experience within the Commercial building / logistics / maintenance industry (or associated)
• Experience in managing budgeting and coordination of projects
• Experience in programming of projects
• Experience in managing design teams, contractors and stakeholders
• Experience in the interpretation and application of regulations and standards
• Experience in the application of standards to building development
• Experience in project reporting
• Experience in managing multiple projects in an operating environment
• Experience in mentoring staff
• Demonstrated ability to take a strategic review of Projects in line with business needs/objectives
