Job summary

New South Wales Premier's Department – Mascot NSW is seeking a Principal Project Officer for the Delivery Office (Targeted) to provide strategic leadership across Reform and Innovation operations and to drive delivery of complex programs.

The role requires senior leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on governance, financial performance and project support functions within the Delivery Office.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to drive organisational performance and complex programs.
• Excellent written materials for government and policy settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversees end-to-end project management across a portfolio, including business case development and governance.
• Produces high-quality written materials to support government decision-making (briefs, Cabinet papers).
• Leads teams to design and evaluate innovative policy approaches and reform initiatives.
• Conducts rigorous policy research and analysis, including cross-portfolio matters.
• Represents the Department in stakeholder engagements and provides secretariat support.
