Job summary

Centurion Mine, operated by Peabody Energy, is seeking an experienced Senior - Project Engineer to join the Project Engineering team in Glenden, Queensland. You will lead planning, execution and delivery of mining and infrastructure projects, reporting to site leadership while ensuring safe, efficient and compliant project delivery.

You will manage scope, budgets, schedules and performance, coordinate stakeholders, and provide engineering leadership across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering capital, operational or infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management, planning and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors and project risks.
• Strong commercial, technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• A commitment to Safety, Integrity, Operational Excellence and Courageous Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of mining and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and performance outcomes.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks while driving safe work practices.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across project lifecycles.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and company processes.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts and business case documentation.
