Peabody Energy is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join Centurion Mine, driving ramp-up and ongoing optimisation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). You will partner with operations, oversee lab activities and deliver improvements to maximise recovery and plant performance.

Located near Glenden, QLD, the role demands strong minerals processing expertise, 5+ years' experience, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience across mineral comminution, beneficiation and solid/liquid separation.
• Strong CHPP operational and technical experience.
• Knowledge of production and maintenance management principles.
• Understanding of control systems and process optimisation techniques.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Uncompromising commitment to safety and risk management.
• A collaborative approach across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to ensure ramp up and ongoing operation of the CHPP.
• Partner with operational teams to coach and improve plant efficiency.
• Oversee onsite laboratory activities to support operations.
• Identify, develop and implement process improvement initiatives across CHPP.
• Monitor, analyse and report plant performance and recovery outcomes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate data and analysis.
• Evaluate operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.
