Job summary

RSG Recruitment Aust Pty Ltd is assisting with a Senior Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure based in Adelaide. You will lead engineering delivery across DIT road, SA Water, council and land development packages, owning technical, program and commercial detail, and mentoring a team of engineers from mobilisation to handover.

Essential: extensive senior project experience in civil construction, track record delivering roads, drainage, water or land development projects, and a tertiary Civil

Qualifications

• Senior Project Engineer background in civil construction.
• Track record delivering road, drainage, water or land development projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, quality systems and government specifications.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings and specifications.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering delivery across DIT road, SA Water, council and land development projects.
• Develop and maintain programs, and track progress against key milestones.
• Track costs, prepare progress claims, and manage variations and RFIs.
• Ensure works comply with DIT specifications, ITPs and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and suppliers on site.
• Supervise and mentor Project Engineers and Site Engineers.
• Liaise with DIT, SA Water, councils, consultants and authorities.
• Support the Project Manager with forecasting, risk management and reporting.
• Uphold safety, quality and environmental standards across the project.

This is a well-regarded civil contractor with deep roots in South Australian infrastructure. Its portfolio covers DIT road projects, SA Water works, major council projects and land development, and the business is continuing to grow its SA team.

About the Role

Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Project Manager, you'll lead the engineering delivery of projects across this mix, from DIT roads to SA Water, council and land development packages. You'll own the technical, programming and commercial detail, guide a team of Project and Site Engineers, and work closely with clients and consultants from mobilisation through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering delivery across DIT road, SA Water, council and land development projects
• Develop and maintain programs, and track progress against key milestones
• Track costs, prepare progress claims, and manage variations and RFIs

About You

• Proven Senior Project Engineer or experienced Project Engineer background in civil construction
• Track record delivering road, drainage, water or land development projects
• Strong working knowledge of ITPs, quality systems and government specifications
• Commercial understanding: cost tracking, progress claims and variations
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings and specifications
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
• Current driver's licence

Highly regarded:

• DIT project delivery experience in South Australia
• SA Water, council or land development project experience
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior engineers
