Job summary

DT Infrastructure seeks a Project Engineer – Civil to join the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in South Australia. You will oversee civil construction activities on a 2:1 roster, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Civil and coordinating with the Construction Manager and subcontractors to keep works moving safely and on programme.

This role offers ownership of civil work packages, solving complex construction challenges and delivering major renewable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for Engineers Australia.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing engineering scopes or work packages and coordinating construction teams.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, contracts, quality and compliance requirements.
• Proactive, accountable and solutions-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and administer civil engineering activities across assigned work packages, ensuring programme, budget and quality requirements are achieved.
• Interpret designs and specifications, providing constructability input and practical engineering solutions to support construction delivery.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, resources and risks, identifying issues early and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
• Support project quality, commercial and compliance requirements, including ITPs, RFIs, scopes of work, technical documentation, reporting and project records.

Profile description

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification, with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within complex or large‑scale project environments.
• Experience managing engineering scopes or work packages and coordinating construction teams through project delivery.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, contracts, quality and compliance requirements.
• A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced site environment and works collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.
