Job summary

Outside Ideas is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to take ownership across significant civil projects in South Australia, with a clear pathway toward Project Management. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including site teams, PMs and stakeholders to drive delivery and quality.

You will align technical excellence with project outcomes, mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the business as it secures major new work in the region.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree required.
• Senior project engineer experience in civil infrastructure.
• Strong technical and delivery capability.
• Commercial awareness and project outcomes orientation.
• Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities across project delivery.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Manage programmes and support commercial outcomes.
• Ensure design, specifications and safety compliance.
• Drive QA and WHS processes.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Progress towards Project Management.

Outside Ideas is looking for a Senior Project Engineer ready to take on greater responsibility across significant civil projects while continuing to develop towards Project Management.

The Role

As Senior Project Engineer, you will take a leading role across the technical and operational delivery of civil projects while working closely with experienced Project Managers and site teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading engineering activities across all stages of project delivery
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Managing project programmes and supporting commercial outcomes
• Ensuring compliance with design, specifications and safety requirements
• Driving Quality Assurance and WHS processes
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partners
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Taking on increasing project responsibility as you progress towards Project Management
