Job summary

Symal Group seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering and technical delivery on the Gawara Baya Wind Farm project in North Queensland. You will collaborate with project leadership to drive safety, quality and schedule performance on a major 400MW renewable infrastructure program.

You will manage subcontractors and consultants, develop methodologies and documentation, and support planning, progress reporting and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Strong Australian civil construction experience.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Experience across earthworks, roads, drainage and/or concrete.
• Experience managing subcontractors and technical deliverables.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality and project controls.
• Sound commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a remote project environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing project team.
• Experience across renewable energy, wind farms or other major civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering and technical delivery across the project
• Providing technical leadership and support to construction teams
• Managing subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Developing and reviewing construction methodologies, ITPs and technical documentation
• Monitoring progress, quality, costs and technical compliance
• Supporting project planning, programming and reporting
• Managing engineering deliverables and technical documentation
• Identifying and resolving construction and engineering issues
• Working closely with Supervisors, Project Managers and the wider delivery team
• Supporting the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works
• Contributing to project controls, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement
