Job summary

Symal Infrastructure is delivering major civil works for a 400MW wind energy project in Northern Queensland. We seek a Project Engineer – Civil to manage civil construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe, on-time delivery under contract requirements.

Reporting to the Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer, you will develop short-term programs, monitor costs, support procurement, and drive quality assurance across the worksites with a strong focus on safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience in civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA requirements, and project controls.
• Experience with project programming, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a site-based construction team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day civil construction activities on site.
• Develop and monitor short-term construction programs and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Assist with procurement, variations, and progress claims.
• Monitor costs, productivity and performance against targets.
• Manage QA processes, ITPS and documentation.
